Map Showing United Park, Parking, etc.

Ahead of our game in Drogheda this week, we’ve gathered information and advice for Harps fans travelling to the game.  Note there is a 54 Crew bus running to this game, book by Wednesday, their Facebook page is HERE.  Also, the Dublin Supporters Club are looking at running a bus also, see HERE.

As always, live updates and commentary from the game will be available via Mobstats HERE

You can contact Finn Harps Supporter Liaison Officer Aidan McNelis on aidanmcnelis AT finnharps DOT com or on 087 9736064.

Travel & Parking:
Parking is available across from the north end of the ground in the HSE car park. There is normally a security guard who collects payment as you arrive and directs you to which section to park in for the match. The cost is approx €3 or €4.  (Marked on the map).  It’s a 5 min walk around the corner to the away entrance.  Note the car park barrier may be open after the match so check this before paying.
If travelling from the M1 (North to South) take exit 10 (Drogheda).
Take the first exit off the roundabout (N51 Drogheda)
800metres to next roundabout
Straight through roundabout (2nd exit) staying on N51
1000metres to next roundabout
Take (2nd exit) signs Drogheda.
1000metres to traffic lights
Left at traffic lights, signs for Hospital/Termonfeckin (Cross Lanes road)
Parking is 500 metres ahead on your left.
Public transportMatthews coaches (Dundalk to Dublin service) will drop fans outside the Topaz garage on the North Road close to the last set of traffic lights before parking. Its a 10 minute walk into the ground.  Bus Eireann also service Drogheda but don’t have a return service late enough to catch the whole game.  Irish Rail runs late enough to be usable back to Dublin, but the station in Drogheda is 2.3km of a walk from United Park so you may need to get a taxi.
Buses normally pull up on the large footpath about 100 metres before the car park on the windmill road to drop fans off and during the match either wait there or travel back towards the M1 and pull into one of the wide business entrances to wait until the match is over before travelling back to pick up fans.
Where to get a Pint and/or Food:

Mother Hughes pub is where most supporters gather. It is marked it on map above.  Quite a lot of Drogheda Fans will be there before and after the match but fans from all clubs are welcomed.  It’s a 5-10 minute stroll to the ground from here. There is the Windmill Pub right outside the ground beside the away entrance but Mother Hughes generally has the home and away crowd before the match.

We have food (hot: burgers, chips, tea/coffee) supplied by Sidewalk Cafe within the ground.   If you would like some bar food nearby I recommend the Cross Pub. Approx another 5 mins walk south of Mother Hughes. It sells craft beer and bar food and is excellent.

 Anything else to know?
There should be a large travelling support so allow some time to get into the ground.  There should be no major concerns or areas to avoid.  Security may ask away fans to hold on for 10 minutes after the match while crowd disperse but hopefully this will be a minor inconvenience.  There is more information that may prove useful in a Ground Hop article HERE
