Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan says it is important that his side maintains the momentum that saw them not lose a league game in over three months. The last time Harps were turned over was on in the middle of June at Finn Park when newly crowned First Division champions UCD won 3-1. “From our perspective this is a very important game as we need to have momentum going into the play-offs and that means doing our utmost to defeat Cabinteely which won’t be easy.
They have had wins over UCD, Shelbourne, Drogheda and Longford this season and probably will be disappointed not to be further up the table. Stephen McGuinness is a good keeper and then the likes Keith Dalton, Dan Casey and Kieran Marty Waters are lads that have real quality. After tomorrow night we don’t have a game for a fortnight so it’s important that the lads put in a really good shift against Cabinteely whom we only beat narrowly twice this season. Whoever we play in the play-offs will have had the benefit of two very competitive games so that is something we have to be very mindful of and be as ready as we can be for the advantage that it gives to them” Horgan said.
Harps have had two 1-0 wins over Cabinteely earlier in the campaign so Horgan is expecting a really tight game again at Finn Park tomorrow night. Mikey Place returns to the squad after serving a one-match suspension but Mark Timlin continues to be troubled by a knee injury. Mark Coyle and Paddy McCourt are rated doubtful.
Injured: Mark Timlin
