Finn Harps F.C. held their final press conference before the mid-season break and ahead of this Friday night’s eagerly awaited meeting with First Division league leaders UCD. After the boost of the win over Galway Utd at Eamonn Deacy Park last Friday, Horgan said his players must be prepared for a very stiff test against the Students who are seven points ahead of them in the table.
Horgan was joined at the press conference by first team squad member Gareth Harkin who told the assembled media that he was happy to be back after a 12-week lay-off due to a knee injury. Harkin played his first full 90 minutes against Galway last Friday night. The midfielder is relishing the challenge of playing UCD and is hoping that Harps can get a good result going into break
The Harps manager referred to the form of Burnfoot man Georgie Kelly who has been on hot scoring streak for UCD with 13 goals while the ability of both Daire O’Connor and Gary O’Neill is something that Horgan says will be a big challenge for his team.
