Longford Town 1-2 Finn Harps
Sam Todd’s recent scoring streak continued against Longford Town as the Carndonagh man’s 91st minute gave Finn Harps a crucial three points in the Midlands. Eight days earlier Todd had grabbed an 84th minute winner against Cabinteely and this time around the big central defender was on hand to steer the ball home after home keeper Mike Kelly dropped the ball for his third goal of the season.
Ollie Horgan’s outfit had taken a 6th minute lead when Burt lad Mark Coyle got his second goal of the campaign after being setup by B.J. Banda who was chosen to start the game along with John O’Flynn. The duo came in for Jesse Devers and Mark Timlin. However, Longford equalized just before the break courtesy of Dylan McGlade. Harps were on the back foot for periods of the second half but weathered the storm. And then right at the death Todd was on hand to capitalize on keeper Kelly’s costly error.
