UCD 3-2 Finn Harps
Despite coming back from a goal behind to score twice before the break Finn Harps suffered defeat for the second time on the road this season. In the end it was UCD who ended up with the three points thanks to a hat-trick from Inishowen native Georgie Kelly.
Kelly had put the Students in front on 14 minutes but two quick fire goals from Sam Todd and Mark Coyle late in the first half gave the visitors a huge boost and a 2-1 lead at the interval.
The Students’ drew level again thanks to Kelly in the 68th minute. And the impressive front man completed his hat-trick on 75 minutes with what proved to be the winner for UCD and puts them top of the table as Drogheda could only draw at home to Longford Town. Ollie Horgan’s men are in the bottom half of the table.
